Do you have a problem with your students wildly waving their hands, or moaning and shouting out answers when you don’t pick them during games? The truth is, games and activities that only allow one or two students to participate at a time cause a lot of problems like moaning and shouting – especially in classes with 25 or 45 students.

This video will help you understand these misbehaviors and how you can reduce them by meeting your students’ needs for fun and for power. These two critical needs are often ignored by teachers and can lead to all sorts of problems in the classroom. They also can’t be eliminated just with a strict focus on rules and punishment, because student needs don’t go away just because a teacher tells them to be quiet.
